A third-generation preacher of the gospel, Apostle Mario L. Davis is the Senior Pastor of Victory Cathedral Worship Center (Durham, NC) and Founding Pastor of The Haven At Victory (Henderson, NC). Consecrated to the Sacred Bishopric in 2008, he is the Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle of Victory Christian International Fellowship of Churches, Inc., and Prelate of the Southeast Second (formerly Georgia) Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. Prior to his appointment as Presiding Bishop, he served as First Assistant Presiding Bishop and Prelate of the Southeast First (formerly North Carolina) Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction for twelve years. A proud native of Durham, NC, he has been a minister of the gospel for nearly thirty years; commencing his preaching ministry at age 13 and pastoral ministry at age 21.
A passionate advocate for education, he is the bearer of a Bachelor of Arts in Music from North Carolina Central University; Certificates in Religious Education and Homiletics from Virginia Union Theological Seminary; Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) with a concentration in Christian Leadership from Royal Theological Seminary and Doctor of Sacred Music (D.S.M.) from New Covenant Bible College and Theological Seminary. He is a 1910 Honors Scholar (NCCU) and a member of Zeta Mu Alpha Honor Society.
Skilled and cunning as David, he is gifted by the Lord to bless the body of Christ as an arranger, composer, conductor/director, organist, pianist, and psalmist. For nearly four decades, he has served as a Minister of Music and Workshop Clinician across the state of North Carolina and beyond; currently serving as the Minister of Music of the Historic Mount Level Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC (Reverend Dr. William C. Turner, Jr., Pastor). Through prayer, fasting, and discipline, his choirs and vocal/instrumental ensembles produce a polished sound with precision, and have been affectionately called “Choir/Music Boot Camp.” A recording artist, releasing his debut solo project “Sounds of Praise,” in 2014, several of his compositions can be heard by local recording choirs. Two of his compositions have been accepted in the New Music Seminar for the Gospel Music Workshop of America (Founder, the late Reverend James Cleveland) and the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses (Founder, the late Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey). Both his music and preaching ministries transcend denominational barriers, as he has served as a musical and prophetic voice.

Professionally and prior to his transition into full-time itinerant ministry, he was a Choral Director in the Durham Public Schools System (Durham, NC), and Emergency Communications Specialist with Durham City Government. As one who firmly believes and encourages others in their gifts and callings, he is a private piano and vocal coach. Additionally, he is the Founder and Chancellor of Rhema Christian Theological Seminary and Kingdom Builders Ecclesiastical Assembly; all in conjunction with MLD Ministries, where he serves as a consultant in the areas of Church Administration, Adjutancy and Protocol, the Episcopacy and Music. A native of Durham, NC, he is the son of the late Elder Nick Davis and Apostle Marion Davis-Patterson. He is the third of four children, and the proud father of two of his greatest gifts, Kenneth, Semaj, and several children in his extended family who all work alongside him in ministry. He resides in Morrisville, NC, and aside from all accolades and accomplishments, he is a humble servant, fit for the Master’s use.
